Oblivionby jgm5015Comment: Originally posted by moviealien: like the picture, hate your title, what could possibly make you think of oblivion on a plane |
Oblivion can be considered to be a state of serene, mental cleanliness. The peacefullness of this image, or rather, this sight suggests oblivion in three major ways. First, it is clean and gentle, as one might expect a visual representation of oblivious thoughts to be represented. Secondly, the sensation that is induced by the sight incurs a state of oblivion on the viewer; upon viewing the soft, natural cloudscape, one becomes oblivious to the artificial feel of the cabin.
Finally, when flying on a plane, one is oblivious to the world below them. Below those clouds could be a peaceful village, or a warring nation. We do not know; we are oblivious, cruising far too high in the air and at far too great a speed to notice.

This is a picture of the wing of a plane. |

Look way up...by RonRobertsonComment: You'll probably have some people tell you that there's too much empty space on the left, or that you shouldn't use a centered composition, but I think that this is lovely. |

Giant Forestby 1vladComment: I think that I'd like this a bit better if the sky was just a shade lighter. |
