I don't like this photograph much. The face comes across a bit blurry. The crop is not tight enough for my taste especially at the left and top. I wish you would have selected a certain year for you picture rather than a span of 6 ('00, '01, '02, '03, '04, '05) I hope this comments result in something positive in your photography. good luck.

Childhood

Let's imagine that future generations pull out our time capsule. In going through the images they come across this one. They look at the title and think "childhood, certainly not my childhood" I wish I knew the year you were trying to capture. It would have gotten a higher score from me. If your image doesn't finish as high as you had hoped it is probably because other voters felt the same way (unless they comment otherwise). Overall great composition. Like the B&W and lighting. Good Depth of Field. Like that the picture is not on a level plane. Good Luck.

I wish I knew the year that this was assigned to. I'm sure you'll hear that from other voters. So, maybe take that as constructive feedback. I really like the depth of your set up. I would like to know how you did that. The part I don't like as much is that it feels like it is a close up shot rather than a vast pool of lava.

Your first clue could have been the extra description that you felt needed in the title. I get that the watch is old, but I don't know the year by looking at the watch. I wish you title the shot with a year. For that reason, if I were compiling a time capsule I would leave this image out. Im not a fan of the silky background. To be honest this looks like you're trying to sell the watch on ebay.
