This shot is one of several that I have seen in this challenge that are very graphic in nature. Not that it lacks impact, but it is hard to rate as a quality photograph.

I like the shallow depth of field, but the bottoms of the chimes really need to be tack sharp for this to work and they are not. I am also bothered by the yellow cast.

I like the way the sun is reflecting off the umbrella giving a little dimension to the silhouette. The sky and water are both a little grey, which may be accurate of the scene, but doesn't have a lot of impact. Also, there is an odd little blotch in the sky to the right of the subject's face. I used to get those in my skies with my old camera. Very annoying. I never figured out the source. Anyway, nice image. - 7

I don't like the lighting or the focus in this shot. It would be better if you could have kept the full roll on the left in the frame. Also, there is a white border down the left side that doesn't look like it belongs there.

The exposure on this one is off. The sky is over exposed, but the detail is still lost in the shadows of the tree. It is not completely silhouetted, but yet the texture is not clear either. Also, all the other trees around detract from the "shape" of this one.

I like the graphic form on this one, but it looks like it crosses the border from photography to digital art. It is a beautiful image, but I wouldn't call it a great photograph.

How early are they teaching trig these days? She looks so young. Nice concept. I'm not sure the black and white adds anything to this image.

Sphere of Happiness

I wish your sphere was a little more prominent in this shot. It is not clear what it is (a coconut perhaps?) or why it makes the holder so happy. (Great expression though.) Also the coloring is a little drab.

Good find, but I am not sure the shape is strong enough to be a high-scorer in this challenge. The image is also a little dull and could use with some curve/levels adjustment to add more contrast, darken the shadows, and brighten the snow just a bit.
