Looks like a huge hole! For scenes like these with a pretty messy background, I would suggest getting right up in there and doing something artsy to make the place look a little more appealing. Maybe take a single section of fence and shoot it straight on, filling up the entire photo.
This picture definitely fits the challenge though, so nice work!

This is an awesome location! I would have love to seen the sun dead in the center (meaning you walk more towards your right) because the top-left part of the photo is what makes this so awesome. It'd be pretty blown out, but that would work perfect with this little pond. Nice work
