Circleby amichailComment: There are several basic things wrong with this photo: overexposed CD's, dusty background, out of focus pencils.
A soft light from front right and front left would help reduce the shadows. the composition is somewhat unimaginative - what story are you trying to portray with these 4 subjects? they don't seem well related. Good effort on the shot position, though - having the perspective into the table is good for abstracts, and would work well with 4 very similar objects.

The Circle of Life - Share the Bountyby GrandmomComment: There's an awful lot of brown circles in there!
Just kidding - this is great composition and lighting. There's a slight grain in the blue rim, and a couple of glitches from size reduction, which are very jarring once you spot them. Oh well. mid third vote. |

Conjoinedby CorySmithComment: This is a strong photo, with good group composition. This needs backlighting to remove the shadows, or using a flash diffuser, or bouncing the flash off the ceiling. I would possibly have swapped the youngest lad with the eldest lad to reduce the difference between the eldest lad & the young girl, and reduce distraction from the father's face. The girl's head also blends in with the grandfathers chin, which is never a good thing, so either getting him to stand on a book or moving her slightly to her right would help.

Cat 1, Dog 0by zagmanComment: Now all you need is an image of the cat marking it's point up on a chalk board... :) |

Circles aROUND the Houseby DaMoNarchComment: Too much going on here. What is the theme of your still life? where is it's centre? Poor focus on the vase and coins detracts from the image, as does the dust on the CD and the lens cap. Interesting juxtaposition of the coin and the reflection of the lamp doesn't quite redeem it. |

The Ring and the Teacupby 3amfromkyotoComment: Interesting shot! Shame there's a reflection of the light in the teacup - this is trying it's best to invert on me at the moment, and make itself pop out of the screen! |

Candy Necklaceby basia03Comment: Having more candy on the necklace in a circular arc would make this a stronger challenge entry. Ask yourself objectively - what is the main subject of this photo?
Technically, the candy is slightly blurred, and has a lot of highlighting from the flash.

London Eyeby tom_69Comment: Relying on the viewers knowledge that the eye is in fact circular whilst showing many triangles in the photo is quite a risky proposition! The slightly off vertical slant of the wheel is distracting. |

Circle of Timeby renonovadoComment: Nice circles, but even nicer curves in the background! Not quite sure on the tilt of the clock - it's slightly offputting. |
