Liquid Earthby rasdubComment: Yeah, 10.5 fisheye (Nikkor). Thanks SOOOO much for taking the time to look at some of my shots. It really feels good to have other people looking at your work and offer their thoughts. This site is really the first time I have started sharing my photography with others.

landscapeby arlanbartComment: Nice idea, but I think this shot would have been better if more of the wood grain was in focus. |

wallW.jpgby JordanZComment: I like the idea behind this shot, but I too feel like it may have been better with a more level angle. I like the aperature setting...I think you were right on with that. The color of the sky is also right on, so I think working with the composition a little bit is my best advice. Nice work!

Time Passesby phinbobComment: This is my favorite picture you have posted so far. As Rex said, you could probably play a little with brightness and contrast controls to make it a little bit better. The composition is great!

Tucson Monsoonby phinbobComment: Definitely a nice capture with all 3 of your lighting shots that you have posted. Living in SF, CA I don't ever get a chance to take lighting shots b/c we don't really ever have any thunderstorms here. Much like some of the others have already said, you might want to continue to seek different locations to take more lighting shots in the future since the house and tree distract a little from this shot. If you have this shot with some mountains in the background or something, it would be really nice.
Good job,

You Can Call Me Larryby rasdubComment: Hey Brian - Thanks for the kind words. I was really lucky to get these seats. My best friend was given the seats by his boss for a job well done, so we were excited. How often do you get to sit 1 row behind the team owner, and for free no less???? I made sure I had all my equipment with me as soon as I got the invite. Too bad Bonds wasn't playing, but I love all the Giants, so its OK. I might not have been able to fit Barry's head in the picture...hahahah! ;) |

On Deck.jpgby rasdubComment: Hey Nick - Thanks for the comments. I agree it would have been nicer to have the ball in the shot as well. Man I wish I had those tickets all the time. We were sitting right behind the Giants owner and VP of Baseball Operations....a friend got the seats from his boss who is a big time fan. Too bad Bonds isn't playing b/c I could have gotten some nice shots with him being a left handed batter.
Take care,
Dave |
