Rumpleby RKTComment: terrifying. I really love this photo. Like a ghost or a spirit. It may be a better painting then a photo. Hopefully dpc isn't too hard on this shot. |

slit skirtby oldbimmercoupeComment: this is actually a very nice almost abstraction of those boring old displays I always see. Nice work using a photo to give new perspective, at least to me. |

ghost of a moonby chazoeComment: this is really very lovely. I can smell autumn air when I look at this. It isn't the typical cheesey moon shot. the branches and tone look like a weird sepia negative that wasn't left in the developer long enough. feels nice. |

Blow Meby klkitchensComment: hahah, hilarious.
I enjoy the shot a lot. For me a few things that are troublesome is the yellow hue of the shadow, I may have done a selective desaturation of the shadows that fall beside each balloon, it is subtle but may have made the colours pop a little more, The way the three circles line up in the shot (the openings of the balloons) are excellent, except it's a little to the right, if it was a little more centred it may have looked a lot more precise and intentional but that's being super nitpick.
in PP i would've brought the mid tones down a touch and raised the blacks slightly to give it a little more depth, it feels a little bit flat as an image. I think the rectangular cropping however is successful. I feel it scored accordingly, it's a simple shot and it's almost at being elegantly simple and it's also funny, the title is a #%@$ you to the voters haha. |

The Venus Representativeby SebiComment: I appreciate the feedback. Thanks again!
@knikki - I completely agree with the idea of narrative and story being important in a photo, I thought the unusual figure and relatively unusual setting was enough to do it and I settled, next opportunity i'll try to go the extra step.
@Mark-A Ahhh, I see what you mean now, I should have blended the pixels there or something, or left it out of the sharpen filter. Thanks again, and yes I agree a different challenge may have yielded different results, it's all about the timing I guess, I just wanted to submit it in something. Too bad there was no 'alien in a suit' challenge, haha. |

Piskey Danceby dtremainComment: A great photo, somehow I feel it would be stronger if it followed the rule of thirds and you only had one ghostly woman in a dress. the many ghosts does make it different for me, the only other beef I have is how dark the overall image is, the greens seem to work, nice shot. |
