the fanby rinskiComment: Well, it's just a snapshot of a dude in a Metallia T-shirt. Not terribly thought inspiring. |

Sunshine in the Rainby SDWComment: I really like this photo. If I had any critique to make, it would be that it seems slightly too dark and a little oversaturated. I don't think much of a change would be necessary to bring out some of the detail. Also, IMHO, the left pane stands alone as a frameable print. |

Land's Edgeby KellilooComment: Keliloo, in my opinion, your photography skills have outgrown your camera. From the few I've looked at, you have quite an eye for framing a nice shot. Your camera simply isn't up to the task of doing the quality you seem to be capable of. |

Heavens on Fireby KellilooComment: Keliloo, an additional note on the "noise": I used to have a Sony Mavica, and they produced a lot. This is due to JPEG compression - if I recall, your camera uses a floppy disk? The camera is likely set to maximize disk usage, and your photos suffer accordingly. You might want to check your settings and make sure the camera is set to the largest resolution with "fine" rather than "standard" quality. You'll get fewer photos per disk, but your photos will turn out nicer. |

Thailand Sunsetby aboutimageComment: Thanks for the great comments. Unfortunately, those dark corners appear to be CCD/lens irregularities on the Sony F707. If you zoom out a bit, you can tell there's a circular area of brightness. The white spot is a star. |

Indian Sunsetby aboutimageComment: The orange blog is a lamp and it's not distracting at all in full size (because you can tell what it is). At this small size, I can see how you would get "orange blob". I'd crop it out, but you'd lose the cool tree in the top left corner. I suppose I could selectively desaturate it? Food for thought, thank you. |

Roseby aboutimageComment: Thank you for the comment! It's funny how people read these things - my opinion was precisely the opposite of yours - I didn't like the bokeh too much but liked the soft focus. On the other hand, thinking about your comment made me wonder if the photo would indeed look better with a very clear focus, since the bokeh already lends the "soft" appearance. Thanks, once again. |
