Really a nice shot. My only 2 issues lie with the harshness of the shadows from the flash. One: on the hand and arm and pencil and Two: the desk and that tiny bit of shadow is distracting. Good portraiture rids itself of harsh shadows.

I do like the set up and that child looks "thrilled" (hehe) to be doing homework. Nice penmanship, btw.

There is a harsh flash kick in the owl's eyesand his beak reflection. A flash diffuser would've improved that "harsh" look.

Otherwise a VERY cool portrait of "whooo whooo".

I really like this shot. I do believe that it could use some lightening up in the foreground to bring out that plant life down there...my eye is really drawn to those plants and some PS work would fix that right up, I think.
