Sorry to hear about your self-disqualification! Your shot is great, and to have it pulled because of a LR preset is unfortunate. I nearly got caught that way on the last challenge I entered (Centered Composition III), when I used a LR preset, too.

Thought this would do a bit better, certainly above 6. I guess that's what you'd expect the person who took the photo to say, so...

My guess is that limited definitions of bokeh (only little circles) mixed with B/W (there seems to be a tendency among people on this site to see color shots as 'better' than B/W) got in the way.
