Rayby RolandBComment: This is a really interesting choice. The strong white top light is very fitting, and picks up the stone nicely. I wish I could see more detail in the man's jacket, though... (maybe from some fill light, since the black jacket is appropriate,) his torso gets a little lost in the background. At least on my computer. |

Dog, Bone & Ballby doddsyComment: While the focus and light on the dog's face are nice, the grass steals focus. In the thumbnail I actually thought there were flames in this shot. |

Ruben & Jenby blurredvisionComment: Great colours, well balanced, and I love the location. The cat even seems to be smiling, and that's hard to do! :) |

Furry Hugby alternaruleComment: What a great catch! While I love all the textures in this photo, I think the beasties blend in a bit too much. I don't imagine their isolation would be any easier in colour. I'm also distracted by Mr.Upper-Lefthand Corner, because he leads the eye off the image... maybe a tighter crop? |

Killer Best Friendsby loveComment: I love this!! I want to press play and watch them in action! I'm a little bit distracted by the split-colour background, but this is still my top pick so far. |

Moonlight Night.......by holdingtimeComment: I hope they're non-union... ;) While their pose is interesting, and the contrast of her dress to the floor is great, the gobo, in this context, is distracting because his face is partially in a dead spot, and their skin tones are inconsistent and very amber in places. Also, the meta-theatricality of the shot restricts your potential to show the "truth" of the bond between them. (That, and her expression suggests she isn't that into him) It's interesting... I'm glad you've contributed this... it's like a picture of a picture of friendship. It would be cool to juxtapose this shot with one of exactly the same actors in exactly the same pose but in a natural setting. |

Off the recordby hitendraComment: I find the tonalitly in this shot, while suitably warm, muddles the lighter chess piece with the background. But I think you are right that the board needs to be in the near distance.... Cute idea/good title. |

Old Friends together againby brad177Comment: A cute choice of subject ('cause they're just so darned happy!) and I really like the crop, but I find it a little too dark. Admittedly, that may just be the fault of my computer, Captain Obsolete. |

"Daily Dose"by joansuzyComment: Great idea... a very interesting take on the challenge, I think! I find the shot a bit too grainy, and blown out in places... but perhaps the idea is that this is from the perspective of not having swallowed these yet! |

Paragliding Friendsby MonaComment: I think you have captured the relationship beautifully in this shot. I also like the strong key, but would have liked a simpler background, perhaps? Or maybe just that they weren't standing right up against it. |
