I really like this picture, but I don't think that the grain worked well here, yes, because of it being color. I love the blue sky and water, and to me the sky just isn't very appealing with the noise. The trees are fine, and the cat o nine tails, just, the sky is just a bit distracting with the noise in it. Just a thought...

I think you have a good idea here, just a few things I would change, the red spot in the eye and the red on the eye, just doesn't add anything to the picture. Also, all the little black spots on her face just look out of place.
