City Lightsby M.O.C.Comment: Why did you have to waste such an amazing photo on the wrong challenge? Don't even bother with the competition; show this off wherever you can! |

Final Wink of the Dayby hotpastaComment: The blackness at the bottom of the photo seems like wasted space. Cropping it out would but the line of symmetry between the bridge and the reflection at the center of the picture, emphasizing it. |

Smoking Bulletby xianartComment: Must have been some extreme curves/levels you applied. Looks more like a concert poster than a photograph. 5 |

Inverse Flowersby JeffryZComment: Increase the contrast and the saturation and you've got a great picture here (even in it's original colors). |

Barb-ieby marvinComment: A lower angle shot would have helped here by placing the barb wire against the contrasting sky rather than the similarly colored ground. |

A Fresh New Rain by jdannelsComment: Excellent, excellent photograph. Like the end of a movie.
I saw what looked like oversharpening of your friend, but it looked intentional to me and it's used to really good effect.
Congratulations! |

There is nothing negative about Vail.by jimsappComment: I like this, but it's just busy enough to make it overwhelming, especially with the unnatural colors. Perhaps a tighter crop would simplify the picture without losing the impact. I like the black ground and white trees. I would just prefer a little less of a headache while looking at it. |

City in the skyby RussComment: I would have picked a different title; maybe something that references H.P. Lovecraft's "island in a sea of ignorance" or Nietzsche's "When you stare into the abyss." But that's just me being morbid.
Oh right! The picture: I like it Getting the water and sky closer to an inky black would have made it perfect in my opinion, but again, I like stark pictures. 7 |
