Here is my personal scoring scale with 2 points each. The idea behind is to justify the score I gave. You have all right not to agree with it. This is just my personal opinion with whatever little photography knowledge I have. Hope it helps.

- Meets the challenge - 2 out of 2
- Lighting/Exposure - 1 out of 2
- Composition - 1 out of 2
- Concept and execution - 2 out of 2
- Over all image, WOW factor - 1 out of 2

harsh lighting is creating dark shadows under the hand. Doesn't work for me, sorry for the low score.

Needles and wool in natural colors

Comment:
Flat lighting. The BG color on which the cap is resting is mixing the color with the woolen cap. Too busy with colors, don't know where to look.

Food doesn't look appetizing at all, sorry for the low vote. The lighting is the important aspect when taking food shots, which is completely ingnored here. The plate looks gross unless that was the intension.

Taylor's pins

Comment:
Nice lighting on the pins, but flat lighting on the resting objects. Also, too many of the pins, the same theme can be conveyted with the fewer pins(may be just one or two to make it simplistic) and dramatic light.
