-- Trying to Mask the Sadness --by LydiaComment: Aww, why is she sad? That is no good. Nice job on the mask, I've never seen that done before. I love her eyes, very good job isolating them. The contrast or sharpening seems a bit harsh. Still very effective image, I am drawn right into her and the mask. |

The Glassworks Artisan... Protecting the Eyes.by hahn23Comment: A bit of a stretch for this challenge however on an unrelated note I am glad to see him wearing darkened eye protection after the reports I've read of long term eye damage from glass work due to IR. I don't think this meets the challenge however lets look at it anyway... nice job on the lighting, the flame is very clear, the glass is brilliant looking. Over all seems a little soft, especially at the top, could be a motion blur as I don't know what shutter speed you needed to capture the flame like that. Still a nice image regardless. |

summer abstractby bvlindalouComment: Colorful, too much saturation in the red but as I commented on another entry not exactly uncommon. Hue/Saturation can help tone that down a bit sometimes. Interesting idea but I don't like not being able to see their face more clearly, it is hard for my eyes to lock onto the subject. |

Beauty Maskby GuipaniComment: Hahaha, very funny, and very clever. Eyes are in focus, would have liked a little longer depth-of-field including the nose and chin but ah well. Love the eyes, oh damn. Not sure if humor was your goal but you met it. Good job. :) |

Little Red Riding Hoodby BeckyTComment: Oh my, what has little red riding hood been eating? Look at those yellow teeth. I can suggest a good dentist if you are interested. Very dark and twisted, I like it. Good color and contrast. Looks like your point of focus is the mesh (cheese cloth?) and not the mask itself sadly. One thing, if this is your idea of little red riding hood I'd love to see your idea for the big bad wolf lol. :) |

A Study of Contrastsby just_meComment: Good light and contrast (notices title, lol good job), clear. I hope you didn't worry him too much though, he looks concerned. :) |

The Pilots Maskby KelliComment: Something seems off about this image, not sure what exactly. Interesting idea regardless. |

Un-Maskedby pillikcamComment: Well, there is a mask, and a model. Scene is too dark while the mask seems to be too bright in spots. Overall fuzzy, background seems lighter than the foreground. Sorry for the criticisms, please don't get discouraged. :) |

Her new disguise is butterfliesby eyeduphotosComment: Not technically a mask but I don't care. Not much I can say against this one. Only thing I would have liked is if she seemed a little more, happy but it could just be the angle. |

Elegant Maskby cujeeComment: The mask itself is nice, I like the green. However I'm not a fan of the inversion process (guessing it is a gradient map against the black and white?). The white hair is distracting me, then my eyes get pulled down to the reversed shadows in the hand, making it seem almost like a light is coming from the base of the fan they are trying to cover up. :) |
