Compact Flashby bil99Comment: Hi! I don't know if this is pure coincidende or not, but your picture clearly resembles one that I shot for the Technology challenge last year.
Take a look at it here: //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=8647
But, it you've already seen mine, well, I can tell you that you did a better job in keeping the original colos in the picture and softer lighting. Mine, was in fact, shot at the last minute and didn't have the time to correct the color on the memory stick. I like better the idea with a Sony Memory Stick in the package, but you put a Compact Flash card for your own personal take on this. Nice!
It's a shame that Wrigley decided to modernize their design of the logo for the chewing gum. The older design had lasted generations, and that's why I selected that brand for my picture, because that package is almost recognizable everywhere. The whole idea was that Sony designed their memory cards resembling gum sticks, and the shot I took was the impression I got when I first saw a Memory Stick.
It feels kinda weird of looking at someone else's picture and see that it resembles one of your own. Its a very nice shot that you took! Good luck in the challenge. Can't wait to view the results. |

Flip sideby JackoComment: Beautiful picture, Jacko. I see in your details that you did use Neat Image, but the noise in the sky is still there. Try to select the blue sky and analyze it, then use that to remove the noise.
I don't care if the cliche challenge is that recent, a well taken shot stands out anyway.

Specks and the Universeby greenem2Comment: I was hoping this picture would've take the 1st place. I agree with the others, that you could crop some of the bottom of the picture. It improves your composition. Try it using the scrollbar on the browser's window. Congratulations! |

Flip sideby JackoComment: Beautiful flower, from a different angle. I like how it comes out of the corner. Colors are rich. I think it is a little bit over-sharpened, but it's not that noticeable. You could download an application called Neat Image that does an excellent job of filtering out the grain in the blue sky. Try it and you will see. And, it is allowed to use it in DPC. Good luck! |

Regretby arnitComment: Very nice face and "thinking" expression. B&W is great in this picture. I'd crop a little bit more from the left. Good luck in the challenge! |

Windswept Pasturesby TarbiniComment: This is beautiful! Very rich colors. The tilted horizon is great. The cattle is what makes the picture for me, as it adds an element of uniqueness to your shot. I know that for the challenge you're not allowed to do spot-editing, but maybe for the future printing services at DPC, you could remove that pole that is standing next to the fourth windmill (left-to-right). Good luck in the challenge! |

Specks and the Universeby greenem2Comment: I just love this picture! It is one of my two favorites of the challenge. B&W is great. I also like the grain in the picture, it adds a feeling. This is a beautiful shot by itself, but adding the two children is what won me. Very beautiful. Good luck in winning the challenge! |

Twilight of Idolsby magnetic9999Comment: This is an excellent picture! It is one of my two favorites of the challenge. The perspective is great, and the subject is beautiful. Light and shadows are very nice. What I like the most is the color tonality. Good luck in winning the challenge! |
