I like how your shot tries to tell a story. In it's entirety, it lacks good tonal range and the background really doesn't add much or contribute to the theme. Dynamic body pose, though. Overall, a good job.

I'm sorry to say this doesn't look very peaceful. It rather looks like an "Look how cool I am..." MySpace profile photo.

Next time think about how tonal range and key adds or subtracts from your message. From your title, I'd expect something mid-range or high key. Low key images suggest a dark moodiness that contraindicates "peace." Next, the eyes are closed; I'd have expected based on the title that the subject would have an unflinching gaze or at least the eyes open.
