Clematisby fredandaudComment: Interesting use of selective desaturation. I think the harsh lighting makes the shot a little too busy with all the bright highlights and dark shadows mixing all over the frame. I think I would like the shot a little more if the flowers were much closer taking up much more of the frame. |

Peoniesby IndigoButterflyComment: Great idea for the shot. I am not sure I like the blown out highlights covering most of the left side of the shot though. I think the composition is good, and the flowers chosen are quite intersting. The little bit of green in the top right is a little distracting, and I think the shot would be improved a little if it weren't there. |

Sunflowerby asu_rowerComment: This shot certainly meets the challenge. I think the lighting is a little too harsh, and I would enjoy the shot more if there were little or no shadows. I think that moving in really close to the primary subject so it fills the frame would help improve the overall impact. The background is a little distracting, which could be fixed with a more shallow DOF. Good strong colors. |

"Kiss"by JasComment: Great concept for this shot. The shutter speed is great to stop the action, and I like the green/white background to go with the flowers. Good composition and focus. The lighting looks ok, but maybe a little too harsh from the left. |

Sweet Dreamsby smilebig4me1xComment: Interesting concept. I like the composition and the colors. I also like the swirling and mixing orange/green liquids for a background. It looks like the DOF may have been a little too shallow to keep all the petals and stamen in focus. |

Delicateby LalliSigComment: I like this unique concept for a flower challenge. The lighting is really nice and smooth, and the focus is great. I'm not sure I like the color green for the background.. maybe a baby blue or pastel purple would work well too. The composition and pose is great, and the catchlights in her eyes look good. |

Poetryby ZoomdakComment: I like the originality of this flower shot. The light swirls add great interest. The lighting on the flower is ok, but I would enjoy a little more light on the top to show more detail of the petals. |
