Very cozy, very serene, and very good shot. I particularly enjoy the subtle coloring.

Thanks Lee, this is still a work in progress, so I could well do some more angled shots. I'm starting to like 'em myself, now.

I still say if the ducks are walking ON the ice, it's way too cold.
Things I like about this photo...Good composition, excellent texture in the ice, and I really like the "quit stalking me" look the duck has.
Points to improve...The only thing I can think of would have been to catch a drake(male duck) because of the greater range of color.

I think a crop up from the bottom to the debris line in the water, and in from the left to the metal pole sticking up wpould help give this shot more of an "unmodern" feel.
Other than that, I really like this one. It has a good perspective from low down, near the waters surface, and a very wintery, desolate appeal.

You showed us this the other night in the chat, and I'm glad I got back to look at it again. This shot has a great texture to it, I'm not sure what the fabric is, but it makes the shot unusual. I do agree with Xion, however, in that I am not crazy about the DOF in the top left corner. That is, of course, an uneducated opinion. Keep up the good work.

Nice take on a definite landmark, to Americcans at least. To bad the folks in the foreground wouldn't hold still.
