just so it is known, it was my intention to blur out the foreground.
I could have easily just done one portion of the cactus as this was shot with the Sigma 105 macro. I went a different route(the wrong one).
As it turns out, I entered this without much thought, but had other shots taken that week which would have done much better...oh well.

You sure you don't shoot with a SLR? This is so smooth I'd swear it was taken with one :)

this is a nice shot. I think the composition could be a little different. Maybe a tighter crop removing some of the top. Color and focus is really good.
