welcome to my little worldby hopperComment: A good shot of a lovely child but, one I feel which was just that a shot of a child. Good enough in its own right but not one which was taken specificcally for the challenge and therefore does not fit the category well enough to score very well, in my opinion. |

The Guardianby NodeComment: I think this image was entered in the hope that the bright contrasting colours would carry it on a bit. They do work well too some extent. The main subject is very sharp and well exposed but it just doesn't work for me. The perch is an unecessary extra and just gets in the way in my opinion. |

Leaf Partby LilawibryComment: Only a 1 I'm afraid. I don't know if the white area down the left is part of the image or a mistake? The leaf could have been quite interesting because of its colour and the light but its too blurred to be seen properly in my opinion. |

Fire Hydrant Plugby cameron987Comment: The colours are great and the detail and texture on the "plug" are shown very nicely. The background is blurred nicely but the white object is very distracting. A different angle could have removed it altogether. |

Worn outby geewhyComment: Some nice deep blacks but the main tyre is a bit burnt out and there's a distraction in the bottom left. I may be wrong but it would seem that you had time to frame it better? Nice subject matter and the B&W works well. Very good. |
