Time and Time Againby myceliumComment: I like this. I'm not sure I understand the point of the money, but that's probably just me. But the netting (or whatever) over the watch on the right, which gives it the feel of dusty spiderwebs, is a nice effect. It's a pleasing composition, also. 7 |

Handsby crazyredwizardComment: You did very well on the composition, because my eye is lead directly to where the baby's fingers are touching the wrinkled knuckles of the elder person. For a blk/wht photo, there isn't enough variation in tone for my taste - it looks like maybe you used a flash, which has made everything in the foreground the same shade of grey. |

Soulmatesby jayrodComment: I like the high-key effect. As far as meeting the challenge, I'm not sure if there is enough difference between the old and new... they look about the same to me - maybe a different angle would show the age of the left shoe more? |

Too old or too newby mpalitangComment: You show a very distinct contrast between the old and the new! I also like the square crop. I don't care much for the background color, and the composition isn't wow-ing me, but who am I? |

riddemby messerschmittComment: this is excellent - it seems like the sound of the drums is causing the visual disturbance. 10 |

Looking up a winter treeby MyDayStrongComment: this is great, because it shows how such a simple change in orientation makes all the difference in a photo - i would never have thought of it. What a wonderful idea to shoot looking up a tree from the side. As a photo outside this challenge, it doesn't do much for me (just being honest), but I think this really does Break New Grounds, because it's so brilliant in its simplicity. |

Harrison's Flowersby ellamayComment: this is gorgeous - the lighting, coloring, composition are perfect. Don't know the movie, but it doesn't really matter when the photo is this stunning. Thanks! |
