Faith_The Abbeyby sherpetComment: I think this was much better than the 4.5 score it received.
I tend to disagree with the suggestions of shooting at an angle. Although you may try again with their suggestions, I think it would lose it's symmetry. I love the way the pulpit(?) is arranged and the candles behind it.
The light coming in on the left and right sides (where the roof meets the walls) may have been avoided with either a bit more zoom or a slightly tighter crop.
I see you got some comments about grain. There's a couple of products (Neat Image and another one I can't remember right now) that have been mentioned in the forums. If you haven't already, download them and give them a try. (They're free.)
Do you know the significance of the numbers on the left? Just curious. :)
George
P.S. I would have scored this as a 6 at least. |

Floral Heartby sherpetComment: Hiya Shez, I had a feeling this was your entry. :)
Congrats on your placing 42nd! (A feat I have yet to accomplish but I'm getting there though!)
I love these flowers and the water drops and the colors! Well done!

Watkins Glen, NYby bs-photosComment: I really like the rock formation on the right with the moss and all the layers of chiseled rock. The left side with the walk-way is great as well. As a whole, I get an unbalanced feeling from the photo. I think this should be 2 seperate shots. One shot of the right side and one of the left side. |

Lake Chilasquaki sunset 9-28-05.jpgby bs-photosComment: I like the color casting on this one. It adds alot of interest IMO. One suggestion is to put the horizon in the top or bottom third of the frame. It shifts the focus to either the sky or the reflection on the lake. :) |
