I like your angle, it allows us to see the complete context of the game. Titled "the pitch", I would expect to see the focus on the pitcher or ball, rather than the three people at home plate. I'm ignoring that in my vote though - I try very hard to score only the picture, not the title. Also, this seems tipped to the right a little bit.

Cute shot. Wish we could see more details in the dog's face, though I suppose that's hard with black eyes against black fur. A different angle for the light may help, positioning the shot in various ways in relation to the sun.

Great timing and clarity, and I like the close crop for this shot. I wish there were more light on his face, it's very dark, but you can't control where the sun is. The background color seems unnaturally oversaturated.
