It's a lonely life on the streetsby kevrobertsonComment: This looks good, best choice was to use B&W, but I find the shop window somewhat distracting, especially as your subject looks like he has just bought his trainers there. The composition is very good and focus looks spot on. Good Luck. |

Nap in the parkby TTraxxComment: This looks like a really good shot, but shame it's so small. A larger submission would have revealed more detail and possibly more errors with focussing. Will never know? Would suggest submitting at 640x480 next time. Good Luck with it. |

Hotel of the poorby JinksComment: Aha, poverty in Hobbiton? A great photo. Nicely composed with sharp focussing. Well done! |

innocence in the eyes of povertyby olhaldoComment: Not sure if this really presents Poverty, looks like a normal 6/7 year old eating chips. Having said that, the overall effect is good, with the downward facing shot. A good effort, well in focus, perhaps too much dark on left side, but reflection is good. Best of Luck. |

Poverty with pigeon.by ridvanerkanComment: Like it a lot, clear, clean and to the point. I like the square cropping, but could be a clue to submitter as few people have mentioned this in forums, look forward to seeing if my hunch is right at end of challenge. Good Luck. |

No Vacancyby TipiflapsComment: I like the colour and lighting, feels a bit too set-up. The clothing and shoes look too clean for true representation of the subject. However, it does convey the expected look for Poverty. Good Luck. |

Home Sweet Home???by SammieComment: I like this photograph, although not sure if the building is quite on the mark for poverty, could be the car on the right. I know a few people who have dropped out of society and live like this. But, it is a graphic shot, Good Luck. |

Doorway and Stepsby ImagineerComment: This is the typical poverty type photograph and it works, basically because you used B&W and introduced noise, or shot at high ISO. Anyway, the graininess gives the shot its gritty, harsh feel. Well Done. 10 |

Up Against A Wallby charmayneComment: I rate this for its gritty feel. Judging by the clothes and trainers, this is a setup shot, rather than a snatched shot. However, this doesn't detract from the overall harshness. I am glad you introduced noise cos Poverty is not a sharp, clean and refined subject, it's about the street and the grim. 10 |
