Owl Finchby TechoComment: I believe this is an Owl Finch. I looked the other day (thanks by the way for your write up on the dragonfly macro shot)in my bird book and found nothing -but was in a pet shop today 09/09/06 and they had them there - same spotting on wings, same colour breast with 2 dark rings and small blackish cap on head. Thanks again

Barney at windowby lytaComment: Wow thanks for the comments and scores everyone. I was surprised this did so well. I didn't realize my moniter needed calibrating and brightness needed adjusting so I was horrified when I viewed it on our laptop. This could have looked a hell of a lot better. Luckily many viewed this with their moniter brightness down.lol
I was so sad about it - your scores and comments made me feel alot better. Thanks again

Battle Scarby TechoComment: Congrats on top 10! This is great. As a macro lover I have a question - Did you add an extra lens, reverse one, extension tube, close up filter? I can't get my Macro 100mm to do that unless I add something. Very interested in what if anything you used.
Thanks and much success. |

Close Encounter-Count the Tiresby eaglebeckComment: This would have been outstanding except the post processing is off or would seem too much going on in the midrange or neutrals. Highlights need toning down. Some contrast problems. But it looks loke a real workable pic. |
