An Imposter!by smellyfish1002Comment: This is a good representation of the challenge, and it is technically flawless. IMHO it lacks creativity in aesthetics and composition. Did you try another angle, a more suggestive cropping, or a white background, so the dullness in colours is reduced? |

Too Much of a Good Thing!by PtmanComment: This one is technically perfect. No flares or burned reflections on glass; dead on focus and atractive colour management. Although one type of alcohol is no real stranger to the other, it surely looks strange to me. Have you tried this with a black background? Great shot. |

Too Many Goldfish Martinisby spidermanComment: This is a surprisingly interesting image. It most certainly meats the challenge. On the photo, perfection would have been acheived IMHO if the flare on the lower left edge of the surrounding orange reflection could have been avoided, and of course the many white spots around the same area. I don't believe the orange frame helps in any way; white would aliviate tension in the colour composition. All in all this is my favorourite this week. |

Here Comes the Sunby lmhrComment: This is a great photo. I was tired of the tipical shot with a "great DOF" with the other flowers or plants outdoorish backgrounds. This choice of focus and DOF is very aesthetic, and the background color is excellent for this subject. I also like the shadow&light detail from the blinds in the lower right corner.
I would only leave the black line as frame, and get rid of the white frame; the flower could then have been a little closer to my eyes. The cropping is very consistent with your style, and it provides a clean and handsome composition.
This has more of an afternoon feel, so it would rather be "there goes the sun" :) |

GYMby amonteforteComment: Originally posted by jmsetzler: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
This photo does an excellent job on capturing motion. The mirror is an excellent touch in this photo as well. I am at a bit of a loss on exactly how to provide a detailed critique on this image. I don't really see anything wrong with it. I scored this photo a 7 when I voted last week. Going higher than that would have probably required some higher level of 'artistic' merit in the image. This is one of those photos where I would need to 'know' the girl in order to really go high score with it.
Keep up the good work :)

Thanks a lot for the comment, John. This is my 6 year old daughter Teresa (one of my twins from "Reflections without mirrors"), who actually had just won a gymnastics competition half an hour before, so I took advantage that we were still in the gym and asked her to pose for this one. I have to confess it was very easy. I only took two shots; the first one was not straight up enough, and this is the second. I knew it would be imposible to stop people from walking across the windows, and I couldn't blur the background or else I would loose the image on the mirror.
Best regards,
aldo

Light of the Spiritby jmsetzlerComment: Very atractive angle. Good subject. Excellent image. Only detail is the flare on the window, which is hard to avoid, I know. Good, strong work. |
