Hi MacKenzie! I hope you don't mind that I really don't like this shot. This is a personal statement. But I am amazed at the detail that you went through and the the technical perfection (though nothing's perfect) of this shot! The dark is almost "ghostly" dark - GREAT job! The hair looking "almost" blured, the crisp, clear feel of the face, the hauntingly realistic staples in the face, and those eyes!! Again, this is not a photo that appeals to me, but I bet if I put this much effort into a shot, I could get a ribbon too. I didn't vote on this challenge (shame on me), but I probably would have voted it low. (Shame on us who don't "REALLY" look at the challenge photos!!!) Since it's on the "Front Page", I've had time to look at it. Now, I am so very much impressed with your work! If you nailed the challenge or not is not the issue. You have used your creativety and your photographic talent to make me, someone who really dosn't like this shot personnally, to stand up and take notice. I am extremely impressed with your work!
