For better results, you might try bumping your ISO up to 1600 and a minimal shutter speed of 1/250. Your picture quality really won't suffer in having a 20D. I'm sure you know from your experience how hard it is to shoot football games at night. Fun & frustrating! Lenses are so darn expensive, and I have the problem myself of not having a real good one. . .Well, happy shooting this season!

Just a little constructive criticism. You need to bump your shutter speed up to 1/250 or even 1/350 for better focus. With the lense that I see listed, your gonna have to sacrifice a little ISO quality. I have the same problem with what I have in a lense. The reason I give this criticism is that I shoot Dallas Mavericks games for a small sports publication. To give you an idea, I have a Canon 10D w/a Sigma 100-300mm f/4.0 lens. I'm pretty limited in my shooting but I make due. Anyway, happy shooting in the future. Take it easy.

Beautiful picture. Like the way you framed it....And, that Sony model is a fun camera! Used to have the 717 before I upgraded to DSLR. I'm actually thinking about getting the 828 because I still have a soft spot for Sony cameras.
