Fabulous composition and colouring. An unusual and interesting (for me) scene, very well captured A 10 from me. Jak

Pity about the DOF. Otherwise it would have been a very cute shot. Jak

Nice shot. I wish the catchlights were a bit smaller in each eye.

It has NOT affected my vote, but I don't think this colour border works well here.

Ity is a pity the dog's face was cut off on the bottom. It really detracts from an otherwise OK image for me. Jak

This just doesn't meet the challenge and so I can only vote a 3.

For the Critique Club:

Composition: Only from the comments can I tell what this is (I assume now it IS the flagpole.) That in itself is not vital, but without that knowledge I have no idea of scale, for example, or what some other angle might have fetched. I wonder why there is no flab aboard? Or what this shot would be like with the flag attached. It is not an uninteresting shot, but I am not sure how long it would hold my interest.

Technical: It all appears to be in focus (although again the lack of a sense of scale takes away any indication of DOF) and in what appears to be quite bright light, there are no important areas overexposed. I think it is a little flat in color ("washed out" as one commenter said.)

Overall: Certainly meets the challenge with the blue sky, but I don't feel drawn to the image in any way.
