Gambling Addictby ImagineerComment: I love the balance created in the composition. The colour gives a real old world feel and the transparent hands are perfect. What a beautifully constructed image. |

Peer Pressureby aerogurlComment: The choice of black and white works so well in this picture. The dark presence of the central figure really sets the tone. The horitontal lines of the bus and the wide cropping of the image create a sense of movement or inevietability which is quite compelling. |

tea or coffeeby lizbeth010Comment: I'm really struck b the sense of smell that this image generates. The simplicity is quite striking. The various textures are almost touchable. |

Drink or Driveby wkoffelComment: I love the way this image presents a very important and potentially dangerous subject in such a visually beautiful way. The composition is just sheer joy, from the soft curves and colours in the top left to the harsh angles and metallic tones in the centre. The shadows even enhance the "scattered" effect. Also the texture on the background is just perfect. |

So Many Choices, So Little Timeby MomoComment: I really like the way this image portrays the overwhelming choices like a highway running away from the viewer. The colours of the remote control really generate a techno type feel. There seem to be little bits of dust or stains on the RC that can be distracting and detract from the main impact. I don't know how the blue 'flare' was created but it adds to the techno feel. |

Alone by bongoComment: I love the way the starkness of the sign really jumps out of the image. This is quite a confronting composition that doesn't lose track of the vulnerability and humanity of the subject. I think the isolation and vulnerability of the subject creates an emotional depth that transcends the impersonality the debate. |

Mirror world - going through the looking glass?by rkoynovaComment: I think this shot is quite interesting in that the baby in the window becomes the subject. It becomes the subject almost by default due to the fact that it does not appear on the right of the picture. The symetry is quite powerfull being split by the pole in the middle. The asymetry emphasized by the baby really conjurs the sense of possibilities in choices. The image seems a little overexposed although this does add to the starkness of the cityscape. |

Adam's Choiceby artvetComment: I think this is one of the better versions of the junk food versus fruit photos. The matching colours between the fruit and the packet work really well and th black background makes the whole presentation very stark. The overall effect is of a very stark choice. I really like the impact this piece makes. No beating around the bush. |

I'll have two of those, one of.....by KiwiChrisComment: I like the way the choices look so big. It portrays a sense of what a young one might be presented with as opposed to an adult. Everything looks so big that the choice becomes a bit overwhelming. |

Live or Die in Black And Whiteby duncesComment: The choice to use black and white for this photo creates a sombre and somewhat detached atmosphere. The elongated shape of the image helps to push a sense of vertigo. I really like the dark space below the figure and the highlights on his shoulders. The models pose looks like he is tired of trying to make a decision. I also love the way the angles of the bridge push the sense height and harshness while the models posture suggests a sense of submission. I like this photo the more I look at it. |
