This was my first challenge. I want to thank f-32 for making my day! myra, I think if I included the source of the red in this image it would wreck my vision for it...the purpose was to be puzzling...to make people try to figure it out. Elsewhere in the discussions I have read that abstracts don't do well on this site. However, this image did get a POTD at Photoshowdown.com. My thanks to all who commented.

I took a similar photo a couple of weeks ago,with a similar problem...the light spots on the log are blown. Otherwise, it's pretty, but the composition could be better.
