Marble and Granite darkened by timeby SDWComment: The angle of the fence in this photo is distracting for me. I love the monuments with their very similar lines and only slight but fascinating variations on that visual. The fence intrudes and clutters. The very groomed grounds with the aged monuments is striking and speaks to the endless marching toward the grave and perhaps how we try to bring some order or sense to that. I like the lighting choice with intense and severe shadows. I want you to move inside the fence, but perhaps you were sending a message with the fence that I am missing. Many elements of this photograph work very well for me. |

Deep in the cloudsby ofirkComment: This photo is not comfortable for me. My eye can't find the focal point the the viewer's mind naturally seeks. |

Good nightby nicklevyComment: Nice value range. The cropping/framing of this photo makes me uneasy. The wooden bench hitting at "eye level" of your stuffed subject, intrudes and seems awkward to me. Interesting combination of textures. |

Strummingby rscorpComment: I like the lighting, the framing and the contrast of the smooth texture of her skin and the fabric on her shoulder. I don't feel that you captured any emotion from your subject. I think when an artist captures and is able to communicate the emotion of a subject, it makes a photograph transcend the 2-dimensional limits of the frame. That, for me, is the only thing that would make this photo better. |

Just handing aroundby SylvanaComment: The detail and brightness of the plant(?) destracts from the detail in the insect. I like the motif of dots. Your focal image needs to be sharper. |

belt it out baby!by shutterflyComment: Nice framing. I see the cat's mouth as your focal point so I would like it to be very clear and crisp. |

Peeled Faithby BethanComment: Great idea for texture and title. I would like to see more aged wood and less peeling paint for more of a value range. The angle and cropping seem sort of midrange. I would like to see you pull out further or in tighter. |

Delicate unfoldingsby supradaComment: Interesting framing and pattern. I am unsure if the flecks on the leaves are water. I would like to be able to tell. |

Old stallionby andrimComment: I like the angle and the cropping. I would like to see the entire car look as clean and sharp as the hubcap and tire. I like the line and shine of a car in a black and white photo. I also like your choice of model. |
