Along with 'Vintage AM' this picture expressed age indirectly (through technique rather than subject) best in my eyes. The strait edges in the shot seem like they may have been sharpened to much, though I assume you were goiong for the aged looked. May want to rethink that. --10 Agamemnon

I think this looks quite good visually/artistically, however I expect that it will suffer greatly in scoring because it looks like an art piece rather than a photograph. Some people are (very) touchy about blurring the line between the two, much more than I am. That asside I would add that it does seem a little over-sharpened, but that I think the colors work. --7 Agamemnon

Along with 'Old Time Spying' this shot expressed time/age through technique (rather than only subject) best in my eyes. It seems you were going for an aged look with the shot however I think this hurts the smooth edges (The AM FM for instance) making it look oversharpened some. You may want to look at that again with the full size image... I leave it to you --10 Agamemnon

I was just thinking about doing a shot in all B&W with the exception on one item and was annoyed I could not do it for the contest. You see to have pulled off that effect quite well all in color. It does look a little 'soft' at points and might be served by a larger DOF. The concept which is outstanding IMO deserves another attempt at a slightly more clear shot. --9 Agamemnon

You may very well suffer in score because she is young, and some people have more narrow views of fits a challenge. It only suffered loosing one point from me perhaps, I am not really sure (in my subconscious) -- 9 Good Shot. Excellent use of light. Agamemnon

Somehow I expect you might recieve some comments on how the picture is flawed because it is not strait... however this is not one them. My only comments (besides likeing it) are recommended spot edits which you would not have been able to do for the challenge. The first was is the light coming through the ceiling in the upper left- it seems to have a slight tint likely caused by the camera that you may wish to remove. You may also want to look at the frame on the sides you used and see if you can clear it up slightly perhaps just sharpen it once. --9 Agamemnon

Your shot does very well putting some sense of feeling (~Connectiveness~) into a shot that might other seem sterile however I think it could be served by a shot that does not do as well in the aspects you have excelled at. 'Speed Graphic'
for example scored lower from me than your picture, however it seem more technically perfect in my eyes... combining positives from that shot (white background) might help yours. --9 Agamemnon

This is definately a well executed shot, technichally perfect as my untrained eye can see however it lacks much interest for me. Comes off as an advertisement rather than artistic for me. "Things of Grandma Brown, 1876 - 1966" while not as technical holds more interest and might be worth looking at. --8 Agamemnon

Well, I have only been voting for two weeks, however this is my first 10 so you win the prize. The expression and something about the contrasting textures between the shirt and the flag just work for me. I am curious if you have a color version of this, however I feel that the B&W was a better choice. Great Shot. --Agamemnon

My scores always change the longer I look at things. I gave this a first impression 6 however the more I look at the more it seemed to work for me. It is definately something I would like to see in its original form. Now it is an 8
