.........WOW! and an amazing save by the American goalkeeperby MarkComment: This must have taken ages to set up? I'm fascinated and hopefully you'll write a bit about how this was done. It looks like you've had to have the photo validated, though I would never have thought it was created outside of the rules, so someone with greater knowledge of photography than myself must have requested it? The image fits the challenge and is very humorous. Well done. |

"Memories of Baseball Past"by tfarrell23Comment: My guess is that this is a photograph of a players shirt against an action photograph of a game of baseball? If so, that's a creative and novel idea for the challenge. Title fits the photo well - it being the subject that it is - and in B&W. Nicely thought out, well done. |

Volleyby hawkidaComment: This appears to have been a difficult photograph to capture - but you've achieved a good shot of the action and everything seems to be in good focus. The legs and feet of the person standing in the background detract slightly from the rest of the image and wonder if they could have been avoided if photo had been taken from another angle. No detriment to the photo meeting the challenge though. |

Competitive Stridesby dhareComment: What a super super photograph! If you have the ability to do any advance editing (which I don't myself) I'd suggest trying to edit it somehow, so as to apply the green of the playing field to the whole background (fence and trees) after voting has finished. Anyway, that said, this photo works really well for the challenge and is a good capture, showing interesting action with the players in sharp focus. Well done. |

"Quidditch Through the Ages"by basia03Comment: This photograph is a refreshing sight inbetween the majority of photos submitted to the challenge. Makes for an interesting shape - contrasted/sillhouted against the cloudless blue sky - almost like an ink blot image on blue paper and very abstract. I would have tried to have the ball with a little more light on it, I guess, so as to make the shape a little less flat looking, though this isn't probably what you wanted to achieve yourself. I think you spent a lot of time and thought in creating the photograph (?) and it is still very thought provoking. Well done. |

School Teams Push Cart Racesby HeavyComment: It's interesting that you've had to have this photo validated, but can see why. Looking forward to reading the 'how it was done' when voting is over. The colour contrasts are great and really enhance this photo filled with activity! |

"Are you BLIND Ref ?!?"by mariomelComment: A really fun photograph! I hope you print and frame this one, or put in the family album - it will be super for this boy to share with his family/friends. Certainly made me smile. |

Aggie Footballby fastaggierunrComment: Umph! Great action! - wonder if the man with the ball got pushed down? Lovely colour in the photo, which appears to be repeated in the background. I like the focussing of this photograph (DOF). Just wondering if that's a little bit of dust on the lens creating that grey spot/mark to the left? Still giving this an 8 ...and might bump higher after scoring on the rest. |

A Frisbee Time Outby gpiersonComment: I'm so very sorry, I would really like to score this much higher, but the photo seems quite overexposed in areas and it seems sad that the player's head has been cut off. Having said that, I do like the colour contrasts of the blue clothing and the orange frisbee beside the browns and orange of the rocks in the background and the bricks that the frisbee player is sitting on. |

Making The Outfield Planby LittleGreenKatComment: This photo is lovely - it's made interesting to me by the use of negative space above the players and the pattern in the space created by the cut grass. The players shadows create an interesting contrast too. I'm not too keen on the graininess of the photo, however, though I have to say I have similar problems when taking zoom photos with my camera on high ISO settings. |
