Alaskan Landscape by bdshortComment: Wow, my first ribbon! :)
This image was taken just before sunset, which where I live, is around 4:00 pm right now. There was a thin layer of ice covering most of the tide pool, but not the edge, which is why that is the only place with a mirror like reflection. I sort of wish it was all liquid water... a large area of reflected sky would have looked awesome I think.
Yes, the green flare bugs me too... I could have painted it out, but that would have been cheating ;) I do have this one all ready to be printed out, I'm just waiting until I have a few more images to print before I send it off.
Thanks again, I have a big smile on my face :) |

Golden Gateby GeneralEComment: I really like the composition of this, but I think you applied too much post processing to the image... |

springfield siloby undieyatchComment: This is a nice photo, but I think you placed to much focus on the silo, and you don't really show a lot of the surrounding landscape. I would also have chosen a different border color. Light blue doesnt compliment the rest of the photo. |

The Hill In Infraredby DavenitComment: This photo really makes me want to get an infrared filter for my camera. Beautiful! The tones are fantastic. |

Beach Boys - Surfin' USA by byetkoComment: I really like this photo, but I wish the sufer was on the left side. He's kind of hard to see, and the reflection of the pilings hide him even further. |

The Product of a Coffee Roasterby bdshortComment: Thank you for all the kind comments :)
Please not that the coffee in the cup is NOT our product, it's just some old instant coffee I had lying around. I dont have a grinder yet to grind up beans. I think if I retake this photo, I'll put some milk foam on the top to make it look like a cappucino. 8th place, my best yet :)
