Big Erector Setby bobdaveantComment: I love the photo, but docked a few points because the building in center came off as the subject to me, not the actual rusted object which was kind of what the challenge was about. =) |

Spring lonelinessby cmartosComment: First: I really enjoy this picture and most of commentary refers to how it fits into the challenge more than the picture for it's own value (which is very high).
It would have been *great* if the framing were a little different. I feel that since you opted for portrait orientation, more of the sky should have been shown to highlight a "tree size versus sky size" proportion. Had the picture been landscape AND showed more of the sky, it would have *really* stood about about how tiny the tree is in the grand scheme if things.
My only other comment is the brown streak through the bottom third. While this was probably unaviodable, it is a little distracting. |

Alone in the vastness of the desertby alexvoloComment: I think this photo best captured the intent of the challenge, by comparing how small the people and camel are to how vast the desert is. The framing heightens this idea with mot of the shot being desert. My only critique of this picture are the purple-ish cast and that the people are out of focus. I do understand that it's possible that the people and camel are effected by heat distortion, however. |

Equestrianby HRoxasComment: The angle and overcast day give a rather menacing nearly "Sleepy Hollow" (overlooking the fact that the rider has a head) feel to the picture, I dig it. |
