Bold and Beautifulby SonifoComment: A shame really. Should have scored much higher.
This picture did not get the score it deserved. |

Double Spanby bongoComment: This was taken with a 50 to 200mm zoom. The wind was blowing. The reed this guy was resting on was waving to and fro. I had to lean back and forth with it to keep it in the d.o.f. range.
Considering that there was no macro equipment used, the circumstances were less than favourable...I'm delighted with the result.
Had to make a lot of adjustments to pull the shot off.
INCLUDING...Going back to the same place 3days in a row waiting for this guy to show up where I found he usually roosts Message edited by author 2005-07-11 00:14:50. |

Me A Name I Call Myselfby riotspyneComment: I scored this a 10. Should have finished higher.
Was checking your profile and in viewing several photos
of yourself I have to say the camera really likes you.
Wish I looked so natural in front of the lens.
This image is top ten, the voters have lost their minds. |

Early Morning Runners by jonpinkComment: My only 10.
There were a lot of good images here but as soon as I saw this one...
the competition for 1st was over.
Wow. Talk about being in the right position when these guys ran by!
Congratulations x10...you better get a print made of this one and hang that baby up.
(They should allow prints of ribbon winners for the entrants with a ribbon set into the corner!) Congrats again.
Wow. |

A Room in Brightonby ccaseyComment: I'm starting my voting with this picture because it is so pleasing to look at.
Rich tones, and tonal range, textures, colours..all wonderful
Most important to this image...it's use of light.
Almost looks like a painting...well done. |

Off the Wall by scalvertComment: I admire your ingenuity. Great shot. I've seen you use "fake walls" in some of your other shots....gonna have to take a lesson from you.
Congrats on the ribbon!
Always nice when one of my favourites wins.
Regards,
Randy
P.S. thx for the christmas wishes! |
