kilns are WONDERFUL things and they many times do show great rusted-like characteristics, imho you might want to try getting closer to you subject and more closely relate to a smaller portion of the kiln

great message, unfortunately the lighting seems like flash. Since these objects are still you could use either longer shutter speeds ( with tripod), larger aperatures, or faster iso speeds. Also you might want to try showing the bottles broken as the people involved in a wreak might be and focused in on more of pieces of the wreak that identify it as once a vehicle (i.e. the steering wheel, tires, dash, etc.

interesting shot. sort of small though and unfortunately i'm not really seeing the rust idea. try to use the full space allowed for the competition...at least one side at 640 pixels

I think there are some beautiful colors in that wheel but imho you may have cropped it a bit and focused much more closely in on it and decreased the amount of greenery.

I'm really lost here to understand this pic. I think theres a bicycle down there but I could easily be mistaken. imho you could've focused more closely on a specific part of this hidden object

i guess maybe i need to keep a more open mind but i was looking for iron oxidation :) imho you could have contrasted the leaf more with green material or the blue sky to really bring out the color contrast. After relooking at your pic i'll have have to rescore it higher since you helped me reevaluate my idea of this challenge

i actually liked the composition of this shot (tilt works well here) with the exception that you gathered too much of the sky. your cam seems to have problems with low contrast and chromatic aberation. possibly might improve upon this by avoiding including too much of the sky; :) i also tend to forget this in my own pictures
