I am glad you didn't use an orange. Did you mean for the end of the banana to be the focal point for the entire photo? 'Cause that's what you ended up with... The composition isn't too bad, but I don't care for the orange scribbles.

It appears to me as if this image was made orange in an editing program, but I cannot be sure so I'm raising the score I gave you. I am scoring submissions higher that worked to find orange objects instead of turning them orange.
I do like the texture in this photo. I would suggest ironing the towel in the background the wrinkles are distracting.

A couple of problems with this image:
1. The image is a bit too blurry (although I realize this could be an equipment limitiation issue) Maybe try using a tripod or better lighting and a faster shutter speed.
2. The positioning of the subject lends itself to an uncomfortable depth of field issue with the flower in the vase. Perhaps standing the drawing up and using it as a backdrop would have been better. It also would have helped you avoid the harsh shadow of the vase.
Just a few suggestions. :)

Great capture! I just wish there was more orange. Maybe you could have used mountain dew's live wire flavor since it's orange. This photo really says "green" to me, not really orange.
