I really like the diagonal stripes and the way you've framed this shot, but the overwhelming color is red as opposed to pink.

This is a great shot, but I have to say that in my opinion the dominant color is not pink but rather orange/red/peach.

While this shot is very pink, the color is actually a little too intense and is getting sort of blown out and causing a loss of detail. I think this would have worked better had you decreased the saturation somewhat.

I really wish you hadn't added the border. The color of the buds clashes with it. I'm not sure also if this would have worked a little better had there been more room on the top and bottom (not cropped so tightly vertically) or if the branch and buds had been angled a bit more. Other than that, though, I like this shot a lot.

I do see some pink color in the center of the flower, but overall this shot doesn't say "pink" to me as it's overwhelmingly a bluish purple. That said, I like the shot a lot.

That Inner Glow

I have to say that this photo is just awesome in my opinion. The lighting is superb -- especially, as your title suggests, the light coming from within. The composition and framing is simple and beautiful. There's just one little problem, and that is that I see no pink in the shot whatsoever! It's a gorgeous shade of peach, leaning heavily to the orange/red side, with some obvious golden yellow at the bottom of the bud, but no pink anywhere. I checked this shot on two other monitors, by the way, because it would rate a 10 without question if I could see some pink in it, but no luck. I'm still going to give it a 6 because it's so good, and add it to my favorites, if that's any consolation.
