Flat out fantastic work - I would hang that on my wall. It tells a story, it compels you to question, and it's technically wonderful. I especially like the detail of the bulb in the lampshade.

I would love to see this as a large print to really see the detail and delicate shades revealed in all their glory. A wonderful image and very tasteful and skilfull rendition of the image.

Lovely approach to what could have been an 'ordinary' portrait. Dappled light on faces makes me a little nervous, but I think that's a taste issue, not a a technique one, as you handle it well. The hotspots under and around the nose could use a little taming - but that may be exacerbated by jpg compression, and I would rather call that on a quality print. Nice one.
