I like the sky, and the composition is very sweet. For me parts of the sand could need a bit more detail. Is it a bit overexposed? I'm maybe not qualified to comment on it, as I don't really know how to fix it. I'm still learning :)

DPC is full of great images, but few excels my imagination like this one. At first I though it was "just another high quality image", but not really my thing. Then I started looking at the details, like the wild cat, the lit-up key hole and the woman's strained facial expression. Suddenly I realised I had made up a story in my head. I really like the unstable linkage between different worlds in that the drawn bubbles take physical form and in the ground "we" walk on losing its. Not sure if it is the same story as whoever made this intended, but mine is one of an community of sunken people, living underground, creatively trying to get a hold on the key to a door that is locked from the other side. A desperate attempt to return to a world where they were not valued to begin with, a world where most people have no substance. This image has taught me one important thing that I will take with me in future ratings, and that is that even though the picture is not really my preferred style I still need to study it, try to imagine the photographer's idea, story and the work it took creating it. A lot of you are probably thinking daahhh! right now, but hey!.. I'm still new at this game. This comment got a lot longer than I intended. Sorry!) :)

The New Adventures of Dorothy & Toto

I really like the idea and I think the colors are great. I would have given it a higher score if Dorothy and Toto were not "floating", and if I could see Toto's head better. I like the vanishing point. It looks like Dorothy and Toto has a long way ahead of them :)

I though it was very difficult to score this one. Very beautiful picture, but for me this would have been more suitable if it was a "Yellow challenge". Consequently, I'm sticking to commenting only :)

Thanks heaps for your support and great advice! I will definitely look into that tutorial and make another attempt at editing my photo. I'll post an updated version in the commentary field later, if I can get it right. It might take me a little while :)

BTW your 'I did NOT need this today' picture is hilarious (and of course also a great shot) :)
