just wanted to thank you personally for your very thoughtful comment, i do appreciate it! thank you so much for taking the time! you were wondering about maybe cropping the sky out of the picture - i did try that, and it was pretty good, but in the end i chose this crop with some sky in it... it just looked more balanced to me... thanks again! i am posting this here to encourage more comments like yours! irina.

oh wow, i did the same thing, well, kind of... with absolut mini, too... they are just so-o-o-o-o cute, aren't they... well, good luck to you! i see you have the same problem as i did, too - the letters on giant bottles are nice and focused, and not so on the mini... so, i went with a different approach...

hi Dan, thanks a lot for taking the time to critique my picture, i do agree with everything you said - and that's the first for me! i must say that this is the most useful explanation of how to handle the shadows by far that i received here... you understood everything correctly and appreciated the picture on it's own even without the reference to that classic dance chaplin was doing with little buns in gold rush... thank you very much again for the in-depth critique and kind words. irina.

PS: i do believe that i should put my reply on the photograph itself, so it might inspire people to give thoughtful comments like yours!
