I really love this picture. It's one of my favorites while voting so far. Very strong and I love the composition, colour of light, etc. My only comment (more for future reference) is that it seems very over-sharpened on my monitor (which has medium contrast). You may be using a monitor that has low contrast that doesn't show the sharpening as much. Your image appears to already be pretty sharp so you probably don't need to do as much sharpening. If you have photoshop, try the "unsharp" mask filter. Despite the name, it's one of the more elegant sharpening tools.

I'm not sure if this was cropped and then enlarged, but it's very pixelated and heavily noisy, which distracts from the nice clean line you have here. The one wheel being turned out also challenges the symmetry. It's an interesting angle for a shot though and good job with composition.

I'm not sure the filter/PS effect you applied on this works. I think the image is actually very strong without needing the effect (usually effects mask flaws and this appears to be flawless).. However, it's still a beautiful portrait of two very cute little guys!

INCREDIBLE! I love that this is an angle I rarely see in a macro shot of a bee!!! Thanks for changing perspectives and giving us something a little different. Composition works really well too!

Love this - the crop works really well and it has a really great mood to it. Love the catch lights in the eye. Just a suggestion - I'd love to see this a tiny bit more sharp. I can tell it is a sharp image... but JPEGs always lose their sharpness when res'd down to 640 pixels. A bit of an unsharp mask would bring back some of the contrast that was probably in the original. 9

This image seems very soft and lacking in contrast. If you have access to Photoshop, try using the unsharp mask feature - or any sharpening feature in the editing tool you are using. When you resize down to 640 pixels JPEGS *always* lose their sharpness (I can tell the original was probably quite sharp). You have to add it back. It also appears that there was maybe a softening filter or some sort of softening effect with this that I'm not sure works in this particular case. I can tell this was a really beautiful, well captured portrait; however, the sepia and softening seem to take away from the image. 6

Great picture - strong on action. Well done. I am giving it a 10 based on the photography. However, I can't pass on this photo without saying that I strongly urge you to emphasize with the animal in this scene and perhaps read, even just a little bit, about the scientific evidence that animals have the same range of emotions as humans. Cruelty for entertainment is not a human right.

I love this scene... and good job at putting something in the front to anchor the scene. ONe suggestion for future... try getting down at eye level with the waves or rocks/sand - because the person is further away the perspective will show that you are at eye leve with the human too. Right now it looks too much like hte camera is looking down at the scene.
