Sunday Night Rideby Yo_SpiffComment: sunday night? Looks daylight to me. How about "Afternoon Ride" or Morning Ride". Nice motion effect but it makes it look like everything is in motion, even the bridge, like you're on the end of the train moving in the opposite direction. I'm sure that's a photoshop motion setting. Try this shot again with the camera on a lower tripod and the shutter open 1/2 to 1 second as bike riders are riding by. |

Waiting for the Trainby sjhulsComment: I hope she doesn't wait too long or she'll get run over. No station platform for her to wait on even if it were an abandoned station? If she was wearing worn out clothing, old t-shirt and tattered jeans and cheap shoes then I could imagine she's running away and more believable but she's well dressed and she kind of blends in to the rest of the image; not much contrast between the person and the tracks. She's very pretty. This image doesn't do her justice. The vintage suitcases don't match her clothing style. |

tracksby MarkkittoComment: How about "Lonely tracks" or "Forgotten Tracks" or "Tracks of Time". Of course they are tracks. Can you describe the tracks? What message are you trying to portray? Black & white represents timelessness or the past since color photography didn't exist 50+ years ago. This bridge looks to be around 100 years old. Were these passenger tracks or cargo tracks? The title of an image can set the mood of the photo and vice versa. The image is perfect but the title doesn't give it any story to tell. The title makes the image just look like a forgettable snapshot. |

Amberby CamabsComment: The challenge is train tracks, not people. I can barely see any tracks. |

Walk the Lineby DanaSComment: The title would make more sense if there was a person actually walking on one of the rails. |

too much baggageby jagarComment: Looks like he's been carrying the worries of his world on his shoulders for far too long. A well deserved break. He must carry on. His final day of rest awaits. Such an awesome story you've captured. |

St. Skatesby jagarComment: I love the natural(?) vignetting of the clouds at the top of the image. Also didn't notice at first the fence around the church. Looks abandoned and sad. At least the kids look like they are enjoying themselves. Love the timeless monotone. |

Water, Earth, Fire...Our Planet's Basicsby jusjoshingComment: I love the concept and the composition. Does the female represent an element like mother nature? The bra or black item covering the breasts is bothersome. Looks like that portion of the body was cut out . I would have had the woman completely bare and have the breasts hidden in the shadow. Have you tried using a muscular male emphasizing the muscular build (strength)? The human element is a great addition to this triptych Earth elements image. A on your creativity. If there was a 5 element challenge add to this Air and Love. |
