I first started to write my comments before reading your description and I was about to write "It gives a feeling of an old B&W film" so I guess it mean that you where just right with your B&W conversion "a la Ansel Adams". The composition is really good and your sky is really amazing. Make me wonder what this blue would look like in color...

The light at this tme of day is magic. The composition gives a feeling of loneliness. It give the impression that this man is living in another world. The expression you on his face make you wonder what is this guy thinking. Good work

What can I say... I'm speechless! This is so perfect. the exposure and the contrast just do the job for me. I' d really like to have one of my dogs pose like this. The only advice I can give you is get rid of the text in the border or leave just the name of the photography with another font.

That is amazing. I dream of taking a shot like this someday. While at first, saturation seems a little low, looking at it for a longer period of time make me think that it's perfect. The DOF is also perfect and this is amazing because it's really hard to get the good DOF setting with a non-DSLR camera. Incredible work. you should make this a print.

Technically, this shot is awesome. The composition is perfect. It carry strong emotion. The only improvement I can see is too shoot it sooner in order to get some more light on the front of the stone. I can believe you didn't make a print out of this.

Being Watched - Small

It's interesting too see how the cow look at the photographer. For the strictly photographic POV, I think the shot could have been better if taken lower in order to see the sky. Combined with a deep DOF this could have create a dramatic 3D effect.

The composition is interesting, but I would have tried to get less sky in the shot. Let's say point down until the highest cloud is completely up in the photo. I don't know if it's a sunset or a sunrise. If it's a sunset, I think that taking this shoot maybe 20 minutes sooner would have given your shot more warmth. All in all a beautifull shot.

Courageous shot but I can't imagine it being put in a travel guide saying "come see our hurricanes, get a chance to die..." I like the B&W, the grain, and the black corner.
