These panoramas are multiple shots stitched with a traditional digital camera (Canon D60 or 1Ds). I haven't done any QTVRs though.

Moonrise over Denver Int'l Airport

I used a 300mm lens and was about 1/2 mile away from the airport terminal, so yes it was forshortened.
