I have a particular liking to photos that contast old things with new things. I would crop out the right side and highlight only this comparison. That shadow didn't help you at all. Ouch! 6

great subject! I think that using the rule of thirds could have helped your drama. It would have given us an idea of what that cable wheel was spinning to, or spinning from. 6

depth of field is confusing here because of the drastic blur for the background on the left, to the slightly blurred background of the red building. I think that with a static background, totally blurred or totally in focus, you would have more continuity. Put the wheel hub into one of the rule of thirds cross-sections and you have a winner. Great subject! 6
