I think this is a good concept ΓΆ€“ having the magician hold the strobe ΓΆ€“ but a little more fill light would have made this a lot better, in my opinion. Also, the light falloff on the top of the background doesn't allow for the outline of the wand...

Nice catch. Yellow finch? Did you sharpen the image in post production? If no, could have helped a little bit. Great shot though. Cheers.

Maybe a reflector putting some of that backlight onto the batteries would have spruced this photo more. Really like the concept though. Good job.

Good concept. I know you were going for the low key effect but I wonder if there was a little more light on "the victim" if this photo would have been better...
